The Renaissance painter Antonio Allegri (renowed as “il Correggio”) was born in 1489 in Correggio, a small town close to the city of Reggio Emilia. Here he spent most of his life and here he created some of his famous masterpieces – now exhibited in the most beautiful art collections worldwide.
Throughout the visit, Lovely Emilia Tour will give you the opportunity to get into Correggio’s native places which are normally closed to the public. Lovely Emilia Tour is going to turn your visit into a deeply emotional experience!
Guided tours are starting on occasion of the exhibition “In Correggio’s skies: an unprecedented fresco fragment painted by Antonio Allegri coming from San Giovanni Evangelista apsis in Parma”.
The exhibition visit is included in the tour throughout all its opening period. Afterwards, the tour will focus on the works of art cherished in the Correggio Museum.
Period: starting from 25th of October 2020, 4 guided tour offered by the Municipality of Correggio. Afterwards, the tour is available all year long for a fee and by reservation.
